We’ll select the appropriate diagnostic tests and provide comprehensive care for your health.

Our diagnostic tests

1

Histopathological examination

At DAGDERM clinics, we perform histopathological examinations based on material collected during consultations – skin biopsies and surgically removed lesions. Samples are sent for laboratory analysis, allowing for accurate diagnosis of:

  • skin cancers (e.g., melanoma, basal cell carcinoma)
  • autoimmune diseases
  • chronic dermatoses (e.g., lichen, psoriasis)
  • ambiguous pigmented lesions and skin tumors
2

Mycological research

They allow for the diagnosis of fungal infections of the skin, nails, and scalp. Depending on the location of the lesion, we collect samples from:

  • toenails and fingernails
  • glabrous skin
  • scalp and hair
  • palm epidermis
We also offer: - Mycological testing with PCR – a diagnostic method with genetic analysis - Mycological testing – enabling the selection of targeted antifungal treatment
3

Diagnosis of demodicosis

Demodex test used in cases of chronic facial redness, treatment-resistant acne and skin itching.

4

Swab from skin lesions

Bacteriological testing allows us to identify bacterial pathogens responsible for inflammatory and infectious skin lesions, including impetigo and staphylococcal infections.

5

HPV diagnosis

At DAGDERM dermatology clinics, we offer professional diagnostics for human papillomavirus (HPV) – one of the most common factors responsible for skin and mucous membrane lesions, as well as an increased risk of cancer development.

Test material collected during the consultation is analyzed using modern molecular techniques: PCR, real-time PCR, microarrays, and hybridization.

Available HPV diagnostic packages:

HPV DNA – 18 types (genotyping)

  • Types: 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68, 6/11, 42, 43, 44
  • Method: qualitative PCR
  • Helpful in diagnosing both high-risk types and those responsible for benign lesions (e.g., condyloma)

HPV HR DNA – 14 high-risk types

  • Types: 16, 18 and other high-risk types: 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68
  • Method: real-time PCR
  • Used in the prevention of HPV-related cancers, especially in the intimate and perianal areas.

HPV DNA – 30 types (genotyping)

  • Types: 6, 11, 16, 18, 26, 31, 33, 35, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 51, 52, 53, 54, 56, 58, 59, 61, 66, 68, 70, 72, 73, 81, 82, 89
  • Method: microarrays
  • A broad panel for detailed diagnosis – both benign and Oncogenic

HPV – 41 genotypes

  • Types: 6, 11, 16, 18, 26, 31, 33, 35, 39, 40, 42, 43, 44, 45, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 58, 59, 61, 62, 64, 66, 67, 68a, 68b, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 81, 82, 83, 84, 87, 89, 90
  • Method: Hybridization
  • The most comprehensive panel – recommended for chronic HPV infections and lesions with unclear origin
6

Urogenital infection panel

Diagnostics of sexually transmitted infections:

  • Pathogen Panel (PCR) – Chlamydia, Neisseria, Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma, Trichomonas
  • PCR Panel – Chlamydia and Neisseria – fast and targeted diagnostics

Helpful in the diagnosis and treatment of intimate infections, which can also affect the skin condition of the genital area.

7

Blood tests

Test packages supporting dermatological and systemic diagnostics:

  • Cycology, glucose, lipid profile, liver function tests, creatinine, urea, TSH, vitamin D3, zinc, and more.
  • Helpful in diagnosing: hair loss, acne, psoriasis, autoimmune diseases, and skin inflammation.
  • Tests for infectious diseases: HIV, HBV, HCV, syphilis (VDRL).

Genetic testing

At DAGDERM clinics, we offer modern genetic testing that allows for a personalized approach to the treatment of skin, hair, and nail diseases. DNA analysis can help determine the risk of developing specific conditions and qualify for specific therapies.

1. AR gene analysis – CAG repeat count
This test is used to qualify patients for finasteride treatment, which is used, among other things, to treat androgenetic alopecia. The number of CAG repeats in the AR gene influences treatment effectiveness.

2. AR gene analysis – c.639G>A variant and CAG repeat count
Expanded genetic testing that assesses the risk of androgenetic alopecia and the potential effectiveness of finasteride treatment. It helps tailor therapy to the patient’s individual genetic makeup.

3. CDKN2A gene testing
Recommended for suspected skin melanoma and in cases of familial melanoma and pancreatic cancer. It allows for the assessment of predisposition to melanoma-pancreatic syndrome.

4. NGS Panel – Genes Associated with Skin Cancer and Melanoma
Advanced genetic testing using NGS (next-generation sequencing) technology. It allows for the detection of gene mutations associated with an increased risk of developing melanoma and other skin cancers.

5. NGS Panel – 90 Cancer Genes
A comprehensive DNA testing panel covering 90 genes responsible for predisposition to breast, ovarian, prostate, digestive, and melanoma cancers. Recommended for individuals with a family history of cancer or as part of cancer prevention.

6. Genetic Testing for Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis
Specialized DNA tests supporting the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis and PsA. They enable better tailored biological therapy and the identification of individuals at higher risk of developing the disease.
